STOPPING TIME

For the past couple of years, my morning routine involved squeezing fresh lemons to make lemon water for my daughter before she went to school. This image is my interpretation of that routine - something that became a very quick task, almost reflexive like a punch.
This photo is a part of a series of images that combine high-speed photography with unexpected perspectives that, hopefully, make the viewer to stop for a moment and to think about each of the images and what they mean to them.Stop the Lollipop
I wanted to create a series of images that combine high-speed photography with unexpected perspectives that hopefully make the viewer to stop for a moment and to think about each of the images and what they mean to them. I have somewhat of a sweat tooth and this photo is my attempt at dealing with that.
Splash I
It is so much fun to work with high-speed photos when every shot, every attempt at capturing the moment results in something different and unique. After spending hours to meticulously plan each shot, you have to surrender to chance as there is very little control you have over ultimate end result. This contradiction - predetermination before the shot and complete chance when the object is dropped - is really appealing to me. I think it plays well with my tendencies of obsessing about every minute detail and yet being bewildered and enchanted by the creative power of a chance.
